Over twenty years ago Madeleine Lindley began selling children’s books and literary resources to schools in and around Greater Manchester from her home in Chadderton.
Within a short time demand was so great for the service she was providing she opened a small book centre in Oldham .
By the mid-1990s Madeleine Lindley Ltd was firmly established at its current premises on Broadway Business Park , Chadderton, Gt Manchester, as one of the biggest suppliers of children’s books and literary learning resources in Britain .
It now boasts a range of more than 400,000 books from over 250 publishers and is the teachers’ favourite book supplier.
A team of friendly and helpful staff is always on-hand to provide professional and expert advice uniquely suited to your educational requirements.
They can help you choose from a wide range of books and book packs, and can also create individual book collections unique to your specific requirements.
To make reading more interactive and fun Madeleine Lindley Ltd also has a range of puppets and character toys.
And it boasts over 300 of the latest electronic learning aids which you can try out in the Book Centre on the interactive whiteboard.
Madeleine Lindley Ltd also hosts author events both in the Book Centre and at conference venues across Britain , featuring some of the biggest names in children’s literature.
2011 saw the opening of a new Training and Conference Centre in a light, modern, spacious building which is equipped with the latest technology and is available for hire.
Today, Madeleine Lindley is run by Madeleine’s daughters Amelia and Rachelle, both experts in the field of children’s literature, and their team of over 20 staff who are all committed to giving teachers the friendliest and most helpful service when choosing children’s books and literary learning aids.
