She knows it works and now wants to share it with other teachers. "Hexagonie" is the comprehensive scheme that has been created so all Key Stage 2 pupils can become confident speakers of French. The scheme is easy to follow for both specialist and non-specialist teachers. The fast-paced lessons, with an emphasis on learning and using language structures, enable pupils to rapidly develop the ability to communicate and converse with confidence.This enjoyable method of learning encourages pupils to play with words and language structures and to create their own memory techniques, which in turn helps them to internalize the language structures. The result is that they are more efficient learners.
The scheme provides comprehensive coverage of all Oracy and Literacy objectives of the KS2 Framework for Languages, and many of those for Intercultural Understanding.
